Surface area of the exposed floor in square meters. Larger area causes more heat loss.
Material composition of the exposed floor structure.
See Entity.
Length of the exposed floor is in meters. Meant to represent where the exposed floor attaches to the rest of the building, not its perimeter.
Not directly used in helper calculations.
For F280: Not directly used in energy modeling calculations.
For EnerGuide: May impact the exposed floor R-value.
OptionalroomName of the room this exposed floor is associated with. Links to a specific room in house.space.rooms when available.
In F280: Used to associate the exposed floor with room-level heat loss calculations.
Represents a floor structure exposed to exterior air or unconditioned spaces. Contains the floor's dimensions, materials, and thermal characteristics. For any floor that is not fully inside the heated space -- i.e. it a part of the building envelope -- if a foundation open does not fit, exposed floor may be used. A common example is when the second floor of the building has an extrusion extending beyond the footprint of the first floor. The resulting cantilevered floor cannot be considered a foundation and it is an exposed floor.
