area

area: string | number

Surface area (not the projected area) of the cathedral ceiling in square meters.

Used to calculate total_roof_area and contributes to roof heat loss calculations.

  • For F280 and EnerGuide: A parameter for heat loss calculations representing generally upward heat flow through a tilted surface.

entity

entity: Entity

See Entity.

length

length: string | number

Length of the cathedral ceiling edge in meters. Not directly used but may be used for geometry validation. Does not have to be relevant to the roof perimeter or area.

For EnerGuide: Used as the insulation compression line.

Optionalroom

room?: string

Name of the room this cathedral ceiling is associated with. Links to a specific room in house.space.rooms when available.

In F280: Used to associate the cathedral with room-level heat loss calculations.

slope

slope: string | number

Roof pitch/slope in degrees from horizontal.

Used to calculate the true surface area and for determining solar exposure factors.

For F280: Affects solar gain calculations for windows in the cathedral ceiling.

For EnerGuide: Exported to HOT2000as slope attribute in ceiling measurements. Impacts solar gain calculations.

windows

windows: RoofWindow[]

Array of windows installed in the cathedral ceiling.

Used to calculate total fenestration area and solar gain through roof windows/skylights.

For F280 and EnerGuide: Processed as specialized roof windows with specific solar gain properties based on tilt.
